Last year at this time,,I met someone I admired for their online marketing techniques, a competitor actually, and, I continued to say in my mind..I wish I could work for someone with this type of knowledge. Every post I read, every new thing he did.. I said those words..

Guess who I work for now.. :)

Oh yes Julie – you have really, as the saying goes “hit the nail on the head”! Indeed we receive many times things in our lives in a different than expected form and we are not perceptive or aware of the situation and events we may dismiss it and keep beating the drum of where are my manifestations????

It reminds me of a story I once heard:

There was a man that got caught in a great flood and so he climbed to the roof of his house and sat and waited and prayed to God to save him. Soon thereafter a police boat came by and asked him to come down so they could rescue him. He replied with no “I am waiting for God to save me”.

Soon after that a helicopter came by and threw him a line and he again refused and said “no, I am waiting for God to save me.”

Finally the man drowned and died and as a typical story goes went to Heaven and stood in front of God and asked “I prayed, I believed and I waited for you – why didn’t you save me?” And you know what God replied…

“I tried to rescue you twice and you refused my help.”

I think the moral of the story is obvious. In our lack of awareness or consciousness so we may many times overlook in our lives things that came directly to us out of our asking and we denied.

Hi, Evita! I’m sorry to come to this so late. I’m catching up on my reading…

For many years before I even heard the phrase, I’ve been learning to practice :) the Law of Attraction. What I discovered about myself is the impatience I held was far greater than I had realized. Patience—and awareness,too—are key to receiving, because we all know sometimes what we’re given looks different than we expected. :)

I’ve learned, too, that while asking is done by focusing on the highest of intentions, it’s also done by how I am behaving. If we think one thing but behave in a contradictory manner, we aren’t really “asking.” So I might want to include that in your phrase: “When we feel AND DO/ARE ‘bad’ for whatever the reason may be, we are out of vibration…” ;)

After reading a few more of your posts, I realized you have been recently discovering Esther and Jerry Hicks through books and live workshops. They are coming to Australia in early December 2008. At some point, I look forward a live experience with them.

Hi Liderr,

I feel completely where you are coming from – it can be quite disappointing at first especially when what one expects continuously is not what is. But it is as you say, we learn, we practice and we get better.

Being in a world too that does not live according to the Law of Attraction makes it even more noisy and difficult to focus on what is important to you and drop the resistance that is so often the only thing that stands in our way.

Excellent explanation of manifesting and using LOA.
I’ve made numerous attempts at manifesting and have slipped on many a banana peel, but like anything else in life, you get better with practice. Not resisting what is… seems to be the area I need to work on most.Great blog you have here.
