One of the oldest and most common entities to almost any group or culture throughout the ages has been that of the entities known as angels.
While some people give lots of attention to the angels in their life, others merely acknowledge them as a sort of fairytale presence.
Whatever your beliefs are, I do not think we can dismiss that there are some sort of spiritual helping hands always available to us, whenever we should so need.
Some people call these entities guardian angels, guides, soul helpers, or just plain spirits. Whatever you call them, if you invite these entities of love and light into your life, you can guarantee tranquillity and an increased sense of peace and well-being in your life.
As I continue to increase my own spiritual journey and get more in tune with my inner being, I have found myself drawn back to the angels that I have for a long time now dismissed in my life, as childhood fantasies. Hence today I want to share with you a few insightful ideas where the light and love of angels is concerned.
Always With You
At this point in my journey, I am not yet ready to express clearly who or what angels are exactly and what the details of their existence is. What I am sure of is of their presence. I am now sure more than ever that angels do exist. I cannot give you any concrete proof, I can only tell you that in my experience I have often felt their presence, even when I did not give them any attention. I have felt their presence especially strongly in the past couple of years and am currently drawn to expanding my awareness of them and learning more about their connection and purpose in our lives.
When I was reading one of Dr. Wayne Dyer’s books, he quoted a very special line from “A Course in Miracles”. I then came across the same line upon reading A Course in Miracles and it has strongly resonated with me ever since:
“If you knew who walks beside you on this path that you have chosen, fear would be impossible.”

Thus, at this point I may not know everything I need to or want to know about angels, but I do know and am sure of their presence in my own and everyone else’s life. Some of us are just very disconnected from the spiritual help in our life. No surprise there, as some of us are not even aware of our own spiritual presence.
Recently I have also read another piece that confirms this to me more than ever, which was written by intuitive healer and Reiki Master, Unity of Spirit Awakes:
When you open your world to angels, silence is magic, loneliness is none-existent and the world speaks in every moment.

Words like that make me think of all those people who insist on engaging in shallow or meaningless relationships, ones that are proven over and over not to serve their being or their souls. Our society by nature is set up for noise, drama and negativity. There are so many should’s and shouldn’ts that most of us do not even know who we are anymore, let alone who we are deep down at our essence. So many seek love and friendship in so many places and people that lead to the stunt, instead of the growth of their inner being.
But imagine, it does not have to be this way. If we could find ways to turn off the noise and get in touch with who we really are and our inner being, we could find unimaginable peace and tranquillity among so many other things. If we could just get away from it all, perhaps with a little bit of meditation even for just a little bit each day, we could tap into an area of ourselves that most are not even aware exists. It is in that place that things like loneliness, fear, anger, anxiety and just all negativity dissolve. Imagine a life like that!
Hence know that no matter what you think, what you believe, the angels are always there with you and for you. Know that they are there whenever you need and whenever you are ready to call upon them and accept their loving light and guidance.
Free Will Above All Else
A lot of people doubt the existence of angels for 2 reasons that I have found. One group feels they are just nice, safe stories to tell kids to make them feel better but does not acknowledge their real presence in their own adult life. The other group however is even more interesting, they do not believe in angels for they claim that IF angels were “real”, they would really “guard” us and be there for us to help us through anything we need, thus we would never get hurt, go through pain, be in trouble, etc.
Let us focus on the second group of doubters as there is a very important universal element missing in that way of thinking. This element is none other than that of free will.
Free will is the basic human – both physical and spiritual virtue. This cannot be taken away from us by anyone. Yes, I know many people’s free will is forcefully taken away while here in the physical in certain parts of the world, but even that is a choice at a deeper level of analysis. What does not change, even despite the physical limitations is the free will of the spirit.
Thus to understand how angels work and how they help us, we first have to understand that they can never take away or infringe upon our own free will. Remember we are creators or our own reality, thus an angel or a guide can only help you when asked or called upon to do so. You cannot ever expect them to just jump in and save you from that car accident, from that bully or from that wrong relationship. Remember these are all items of your own creations – as hard as that may be for some to understand. However, as long as we go through life mainly unconscious, we will be creating and attracting all that we want and all that we do not.
No matter what, it would just defeat the purpose for angels to “rescue” us from every situation that we think is “bad”. As spiritual beings, of pure love and light, you cannot expect them to judge you or your situations as “good” or “bad”. Every situation has the potential to be one of great learning and great inspiration. Thus if you ever find yourself in need of help, perhaps your creations were unconscious and you find yourself in an unpleasant situation, have faith and call upon your angel(s) for some help or guidance. Just be sure to be open and listen, for their help and guidance comes in various ways and sometimes not once we would expect, thus we always have to be open to receiving their help just as we are open to asking for it.
Infinite Wisdom
Lastly the one other thing that I have discovered and am sure of about angels up to this point is that they are one of the greatest sources of wisdom available to us.
Angels are connected to Source in a pure loving way at all times. We are too, but we have the physical dimension between us that hinders us from seeing and feeling that most of the time. Hence we have to remember that if we are not ready or able to connect directly to Source, we do have a spiritual connection of infinite wisdom through our angels and guides.
This is why any good spiritual book, organization, author or guru will at some point tell you that you do not need to listen to them or anyone else. You do not need to have anyone else tell you who you are, what is right for you or what you should believe – you have all of the wisdom you need within you. One of the hardest things however for many of us is to believe is just that. It is funny but we find it easier to believe someone else’s truth rather than our own.
This is thus, just one other area where allowing yourself to connect to angels can offer you a deeper connection to your inner self and to Source. Angels have held the wisdom of Source for eons and that wisdom and guidance is always available to those who seek it.
How will you know what is the truth? Your inner being will tell you. You just need to turn on your intuition just a little to feel and know within you what is the truth – both the truth for you and the Universal truth.
Thus I invite you to open yourself up a little deeper, spend some time in silence, perhaps alone, perhaps in nature or perhaps in meditation and increase your connection to your angels. Get to know them and all the wisdom, love and light they hold and want to share with you any time you are ready and willing. It is a gift, an energy that can only bring you good things and enhance your life in ways you may have never imagined.

The Course in Miracles quote is breathtaking in its power. (I’m just going to have to give that book another try.) Thanks for the two links, Evita; I’m interested to see what they have to say.
A very wonderful post near and dear to my heart. I have had quite a few interventions that were to phenomenal to be explained other then that my spiritual protectors were looking out for me. I would like to share a quick one.
Living in the country it is a well known fact that you will happen upon a farmer now and then. No big deal. If you are able to pass, they will pull a bit to the side and help you pass them. One day everything was going well and the kindly farmer motioned for me to pass. I double checked and all was clear. From a nearby road a driver drove through the stop sign and was speeding head on into my path. It was happening so quickly. With what I can describe as invisible hands, grabbed my steering wheel and took charge of the situation. I cannot recall where my feet were. I was so shocked at what was happening. And it all happened so fast. I regained control and pulled off to the side of the road very shaken but so in awe at what I had felt. I thanked whoever just saved my life. The farmer came over to see if I was okay. We were both upset at the reckless driver but all was well. Are there beings watching over us? I would say yes and the messages are always there,we just have to stop and listen. Tuning down and out from the mental noise of life we can hear with our spirits so many wonderful things.
I almost forgot… you mentioned Doreen Virtue’s works. Starting a few years ago I began to experience the 1111 phenomenon. Everywhere. So I began to search as to what was happening to me.It is still happening along with other numbers such as 222, 1212, etc. Her theory along with many others is that these are messages from the spirit world. Way cool!
These are amazing times we are living in. It is very challenging these days but I am sure the payoff/outcome is going to be beyond our wildest imaginations.

@JULIE – You are so welcome Julie! When it comes to a Course in Miracles, it is a heavy read, but so full of wisdom and light and love, thus I found it helped me to read it in chunks. Try not to read it like a typical book. Digest one chunk and perhaps don’t return to the book for a few weeks or even longer. It will be best felt and moving when it is read based on anticipation rather than as any kind of “chore”.
@TITANIA – Thank you so much for sharing that story! I can say wow and I can also relate. It is interesting and funny, well it wasn’t at the time, but when I was 20 I had the only car accident I have ever been involved in. I was going through a green light and a person pulled out into the intersection and turned from the opposite direction into my path, I avoided them as much as possible but a hit was inevitable. The car front was totalled and I did not have as much as a scratch or whiplash or anything happen to me. The whole time I remember something holding me so tight in that seat – it was an amazing miracle to say the least.
With respect to the numbers, I will have to look into that more as it sounds so intriguing. But I will share another story with you, perhaps this is something like the phenomenon you describe:
When my husband and I were buying our first home we looked at a few and nothing seemed right, then we pulled up to one and as we entered we loved it! When we walked out, we noticed the house number was 2224 (the numbers of his birthday and mine) at that moment we both looked at each other as something within us stirred. In the past I would say coincidence, but today I do not believe in coincidences anymore :)

The angels among us. What a beautiful thought! I think about angels occasionally, however, I don’t really spend time seeking their help. I think this will be a nice addition to my meditative time – and I invite them in, and open myself up to them.
I absolutely love your thought about our inner being knowing the “truth”. I find this to be both a powerful statement, and a liberating one. And in feeling liberated, I feel really connected to our Maker – to that Higher Being in our lives. And it continues to make me feel more ‘whole’.

What a lovely post!! Just because one does not appear in front of me right now, does not make one less real. I believe that I am protected by angels. However, my signal is always on the mode “busy busy busy” and that is why I do not get to hear their voices much. More recently, I am letting more Silence in. I do see instances whereby I am divinely guided in a certain direction.
This is written as beautifully as you ARE. I have never used the word angels — not because I have an aversion to it but simply because the souls I connect with seem as real as me or you. I have very strongly felt the souls of those who love and watch over me. They are often people I have known but have now pass on. And I know they hear me, because I feel them and hear them. I feel their compassion when I grieve; I feel their rejoicing when I have over come a challenge or reached a place of great growth. @LANCE – You are always so welcome Lance. I love that idea too that all the answers are within us. When I first heard it I thought it was a nice idea, but today I strongly believe in this because I keep seeing how my inner being continues to guide me down the right path. I do no longer need any person or organization to tell me what to believe, how to believe it or how to interpret life and love, etc.
Now having said that, there is nothing wrong with having “reminders” along the way, I believe those reminders can come as “markers” to lead us back home in so many ways. It could be through a book, it could be through the words of a friends, parent, a movie, nature, etc…
@EVELYN – Oh Evelyn I as I am sure most other people can so relate. We do after all live in a physical reality where we have become so inundated with the physical and have pushed away or perhaps forgotten the spiritual, but as you say…it does not make it any less real :)

I really appreciate your feedback because I completely understand where you are coming from… the idea of “not labeling” – something we do so much of in this physical dimension. It is a higher place of feeling that you come from, that I believe allows you not to label the spiritual soul connection as “angels”. How wonderful that you are able to be that beautifully connected to so many spiritual souls in your life!!!
Evita, angels are everywhere. Popular culture in the physical world portrays angels in different ways. Earth angels are like spirits with good intentions. You evolve to sense a good heart in people, especially during the holiday season. People consciously choose to give of themselves to enrich the lives of others. The selflessness is inspired by heavenly angels who stand back and silently observe our personal evolution. They are always “there.” Human beings can learn to communicate with them. This begins with a genuine belief in what you do not see. Then, what you see changes. Your awareness shifts and yoru life transforms. It does not happen overnight, but it does happen.
Hi there Evita – I like the way angels are described in The Starseed Transmissions, and Ken Carey’s other books… that they are elements of our own group consciousness that have stayed outside the materialising process. I do not personally believe there is anything “outside” ourselves – I believe there is only “us” out there. Thanks for an interesting post!
@LIARA – Hi Liara – that is such a beautiful way of putting it! I believe that so strongly indeed we CAN communicate with them. But very much so not unless we believe they exist. Many people in life want proof first and then they believe, where there is also another option, believe first and then see. I choose option two – it is just so much more magical and beautiful to me. I think it saves us from growing old and cynical too :)

I like the thought too of seeing angels as just unmaterialised extensions of us. This world has such an array of possibilities for us – it is very exciting!
I strongly believe in the presence of both angels and spirit guides, they are there those “unexplainable” coincidences are not just unexplainable, there is no way we are alone in this journey.. each and everyone has a teacher on this plane and the one that’s covered in the veil.. it’s those that choose to listen that see them and see that fact.
Sitting and taking time to clear your mind of “clutter” will bring you in tune with great thoughts.. those thoughts, written down, will amaze you when they begin to materialize..
That information comes from somewhere.. a place we can not physically touch or see.. but is there riding on our shoulders none the less..

Great to hear from you and no worries about being away long or short. I know you have been busy with your new site I am sure and probably even as most people with the holiday season too :) That is the great thing too about the internet and blogging and the “friends” we make here that whether we are in touch weekly, monthly or even yearly – it is okay as we do not put any obligations on each other…something we do not always do person to person in our relationships.
You have stated so beautifully and eloquently how we indeed are not alone on this journey, but the “mind clutter” definitely prevents us from hearing or seeing that amazing spiritual part that we are always connected to.

I agree that angels are with us. But I don’t think their role is to make sure that our plane arrives safely or that we don’t run out of gas on the way to work. If that were the case, then there would be no plane crashes and no one would ever run out of gas. An angel’s feet never touch the earth. They do not interfere with whatever is happening in our material lives. Their guidance, which is ultimately far more important and is reflected in the “Course in Miracles” quote, relates to our spirit instead of anything we can see or touch.
We human beings are the ones with our feet on the ground, not angels. We human beings can feed the hungry and help the sick, not angels. As noted in this beautiful YouTube video about angels, help that we can see and touch comes from angels living among us right here on earth, not flying above it:

Such an elightening view in communication. I admire your experiences to others. You are lighting the path of wisdom in everyone you touch. I am an Angel. Everytime I find such truthfullness in human experience, I gravitate and the source speaks out to me. Underneath it all, we are all here to serve the purpose and in a way we are truly angels too. I have met many humans, animals and encountered many experiences of nature where connection was a revelation for me at that point, as I was on a higher field, a frequency which captured the greater, and the weaker, and saw it’s ultimate desire. For the most part, I have guided myself up to the point where I can longer guide myself. There are no more angels surrounding me, not by physical vision anyway, there is only I, the Angel which seeks to experience the human world in all it’s form, putting aside my greatest vision. I seek to develop my human consciousness to a better frequency, one where I can elevate to a higher dormancy. I speak of light and colour, but most of all colour at this moment as I seek to establish it so in my aura, before I continue to light the path of others in their paths. Peace to you my dear friend, for opening me up to my core – my very existence. Angels are here, in each of us, and we are our own saviour beneath the exterior of life. Speak light, love will guide. :)
@ DRDEB – Great points and thank you for sharing. I too agree that we cannot look towards them to “save” us. They are here for us for so much more, but never to take away our free will. Sometimes, one may think, how can getting hit by a car be my own free will? But that is where a deeper sense of understanding the bigger picture comes in. We usually do not know, what lessons we have created for ourselves in this physical reality to learn what we have to learn.

@ ANA – My God Ana, I have to tell you I read this comment several times and I am late in replying to it as I really wanted to let it all sink in.
I do not think, I have ever experienced such a profound comment on Evolving Beings here before. Truly your words moved me so much, and I felt like this entity that is speaking is indeed vibrationally speaking so much higher than anything I have probably ever experienced. You are an angel indeed.
There is in the end, only the “I” – that much I know as well. We as humans in this physical form seek salvation in so many things and in so many people, but it always did and does come down to ourselves.
Ana – may your light continue to shine upon all that you touch. You are truly a profound and blessed soul and I thank you so much for sharing some of your love here with all of us.
If you have any doubt about the existence of Angels, you need to read the book “Into the Light” by Dr. John Lerma. He is a Hospice doctor who writes of his experience with dying patients and the messages they give him and the common experiences they have. It is a VERY powerful book! I would love to hear others opinions about it. I know it really touched me! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Angels do exist because of this book!
