I totally agree on the Sylvia – Church thing. I was a big believer in her, when she was first out and had the crazy unkept hair and sat with Montel quite frequently, the un-hyped Sylvia.

The last book I was given, was in fact as she started that “church” and It turned me off, and I haven’t picked one up since.

As one learns to be gentle with oneself, one moves to dissolve the self-criticism that causes guilt and fear. Each person has free will and makes what are viewed as mistakes. This is part of a process of uncovering what hinders your awakening. Each energy being is gradually finding inner courage to remove the veils that hide their true selves. You are moving to uncover choices that are right for you at this moment in this physical existence. You may assume certain external teachers arise to bring you back to yourself. Yet, you and only you know what resonates with soul. It is a process to learn to let go and trust more fully inner knowing.

I’ve got Syliva Browne’s books in my library. A friend gave them to me. However, I have not had a chance to look at them closely. From your description, I doubt that her stuff may not totally resonate well with me either.

I also like what you shared about psychics. I’d say that Sylvia’s advice is excellent. I have been getting concerned at some of the stuff that some psychics are “strutting” that they can do, to the exclusion of others. I believe that everyone has access to the same abilities and information. The thing is do we attempt to search the divinity within us to know the Truth or to reconnect to Source.

Actually, I’ve heard of Sylvia Browne’s name, I think it was mentioned a few times before but I really don’t know her LOL. Wait, I guess that’s rare haha!

I have to agree with Sylvia that today’s society humanized God so much, you’d think he went to live here with us LOL.

I used to watch Sylvia Browne on the Montel Williams show and she certainly does have a dry witt about her. From the readings that she gives to the audience and from the many books that I have read from her, she seems to cater to people with first through third chakra issues. Initially I looked at her as someone who pushed people along their fated paths instead of searching out their destinies, based on the advice she would give out. But from what I have read recently through channeled books and books investigating the soul, that a lot of people are here to just work out basic issues that could take a lifetime to achieve. I have also read in several books recently that some people are here to truly feel what its like to suffer since they may have caused suffering in other lifetimes. So what’s good for the goose isn’t necessarily good for the gander, I suppose. But anyway, She seemed to specialize in people who didn’t have the desire to awaken themselves. Also, her books are interesting, but she also repeats her self over and over again. She will even use the same paragraphs and chapters in different books that she has published. She has good things to say though and is quite the character. She writes in detail about what could be found on the other side and offers good meditations. She oftens says that she can’t truly understand why anyone would want to give up the body on the other side to become an ascended master.

I havn’t heard of Colette Baron-Reid though. I will have to look her up someday then.
