Choice Point 2012

choice point

Like myself, I am sure you have been hearing a lot of buzz around the whole topic of 2012. There is a lot of speculation happening around this topic as we speak.

Some see it as the end of the world, while others as a new beginning.

If you are just learning about this event, on December 21, 2012 – the Mayan calendar comes to an end. Our scientists to date have explained that we will be ending 2 immense cycles on our planet at that time, but this in no way is the “end of the world” like some fear instilling organizations are trying to state.

The two periods ending include the end of a 5,125 year cycle and the end of a 26,000 year cycle. The latter involves the last of five cycles that mark the conclusion of the precession of the equinoxes – where the slow wobble of the Earth carries us through all 12 of the zodiac signs. To learn more of the details about this, see here for Gregg Braden’s scientific explanation.

Whatever you believe or however you personally feel about this event, there is no doubt a change on the Earth as we speak, and one that will only get stronger. How it gets stronger and what this will result in for us and our planet is still yet to be seen.

I am speaking about this, as on Saturday October 24, 2009 the Choice Point 2012 tour of 2009 will be coming to Boston. It features 3 key scientists and speakers – Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton and Alberto Villoldo.

I have first learned about this event when I attended the I CAN DO IT! conference in Toronto last April and really wanted to go. First, because I find this topic fascinating and secondly, because I am a huge fan of Bruce Lipton and Gregg Braden and their work. In fact Gregg Braden and Bruce Lipton are my two most favorite scientific authorities today. Between Gregg’s knowledge of physics and Bruce’s knowledge of biology – and their knowledge combined in the areas of spirituality, I just love what I am able to learn from them. I am not too familiar yet with Alberto Villoldo, but looking forward to learning more about him.

Well, back in April I made the intention to got to this event. However, as the summer months came and a lot of changes ensued, the probability of it happening looked smaller and smaller, until we decided to let it go. Obviously the Universe had other plans….

Last week, with this event being totally out of our minds, within a few days everything came together so perfectly at the last minute, that I will be attending this event with Markus after all. How neat is that?!  And what a message about the power of intention…

So I will have a full review of the event for you next week, but for now I will leave you with a little biography about each of the three speakers.

Gregg Braden

gregg bradenI first learned about Gregg and his work probably over 2 years ago or more through a Google video. He talked about the merging of science and spirituality and immediately I was hooked.

Over the past little bit, I have familiarized myself with his material more and enjoyed greatly seeing him live at the I CAN DO IT! conference last April of 2009. You can read about his talk and my thoughts on it here.

Gregg has dedicated over 20 years of his life to searching for the deeper answers and secrets that were encoded in the language of our most cherished traditions.

Today, he is an internationally renowned speaker and best selling author of such books as The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief.

Gregg’s latest book is Fractal Time: The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age.

Gregg has also been featured in documentary movies like “The Odyssey of 2012 and Beyond“, and “Timewave 2013“.

He has been called a visionary and excels at merging the worlds of science, especially physics and spirituality together. You can learn more about Gregg and his work on his site GreggBraden.com

Bruce Lipton

Bruce LiptonI came across Bruce Lipton’s work for the first time at the start of 2009 when I saw the movie “What if?” and have been blown away by his work ever since. Bruce is a cell biologist, who previously taught students who were preparing to be doctors at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine. That was until he came to a cross roads in his life, where he discovered something that went against the whole system that he was teaching in. This being mainly that genes do not dictate who we are or what characteristics we get, whether positive or negative like the diseases we get.

This blew me away for that is what I was taught when going through my biology program and then taught other students. It is amazing how much we learn as we go, that we realize we didn’t quite get right the first time around.

Today Bruce is also an internationally recognized authority in the areas of science and spirituality, as well as a best selling author of his book The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles.

Bruce has a new book also that just came out called Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future (and a Way to Get There from Here).

Bruce has also been featured in documentaries like “The Living Matrix” and “What if?“.

You can learn more about Bruce and his work on his site BruceLipton.com

Alberto Villoldo

alberto villoldo

I am not too familiar with Alberto’s work yet, as I only had a small introduction to him in the movie “The Odyssey of 2012 and Beyond.”

Alberto is a medical anthropologist who comes from a long line of Earthkeepers from the Amazon and the Andes.

Today, Alberto directs the Four Winds Society in Park City, Utah where he trains people throughout the world in the practice of energy medicine and soul retrieval.

Alberto is the successful author of many best selling books including Shaman, Healer, Sage: How to Heal Yourself and Others with the Energy Medicine of the Americas.

Alberto has been featured in documentary movies like “The Odyssey of 2012 and Beyond” and “Timewave 2013“.

Alberto Villoldo is absolutely one of my favourite authors. All of his books are exceptional and have allowed me to grow in leaps and bounds with his shamanic ideas and practices on Soul Retrieval. If anyone has never been exposed to shamanistic ideas, then this is the author to take you on a personal journey back to the heart of who you are.

I recently read fractal time by Braden but have not gotten around to reading any books by Lipton. Again, I will be in line to read your report from the Conference Evita. Have a wonderful ongoing journey.

  2. I cannot wait to hear about what you learn at the conference. That’s so exciting! I love Bruce Lipton’s work, and am only slightly familiar with Gregg’s. Like you, I don’t know much about Alberto, but am sure he’s a great addition to the duo previously mentioned.

I’m excited for what’s taking place right now, in terms of the global energy shift. More and more people are waking up, and love is at the core of it all. That can only mean good things, although I understand the transition will be (perhaps) rough.

Thanks for writing about this, Evita!

    Evita,
Very awesome that you’ll have this opportunity to see all three of these gentlemen together! And I know how deeply connected you are to what they share – from what I’ve read here in the past – so I know this is the place for you to be this weekend. And know that what you share here makes me think more deeply myself about what this all means, and really what life and beyond means as well. I look forward to what you come back with…

  4. Evita,
I’m so glad you will be sharing with us. I shy away from anything scientific and haven’t read any of their books. I’ve heard Gregg speak and that’s about it.

I do believe it will make more sense when you give us your version. (I think that’s why you’re going;)

Oh and I also see you being on this speaking circuit someday. You will be your generations version of Gregg, Bruce and Alberto. What do you think? Shall I hold this vision for you? Or aren’t you into speaking? Let me know.

  5. Jeanne says:

Evita, thank you SO MUCH for this post! I’m a fan of Bruce Lipton, and now a fan of Greg Bradden, after watching that 25-minute video you link to. I’ll be looking at the other links as well, because I want to see how these folks (and us) counteract that idiotic movie being advertised that shows 2012 as the Bitter End.

I’m no scientist but I enthusiastically embrace the fact that science is now courting ancient wisdom, and I look forward to the marriage. Thanks again!

  6. I’ve always felt that the merging of science and spirituality is something that has to happen. If this is a UNI-verse, then it must be that the two are finally approaches to the same reality.

At the same time, I find myself a bit cautious in the sense that some writing in this area strikes me as highly speculative. Because, for example, something can happen to a subatomic particle, doesn’t mean that we can necessarily directly extrapolate from that to what happens to us!

My sense is that we have a lot of growing to do in both science and spirituality before their relationship comes into sharp focus.

  7. Hi Evita,

Sounds like a cool event. I look forward to hear your report. I already knew about Lipton and Braden who are both very awesome. Alberto is new to me so I look forward to learning more about him.

As for 2012, many traditions mention it. It is believed to be the start of the Golden Age and not the end of the world. More like the end of the world as we know it and an age that is more divinely centered. Again, that is what I have heard and read. I am not an expert.

Have a fun time and safe travels. :)

  8. Patricia says:

I so enjoyed the part of your post Evita that talked about how your intentions just suddenly manifest….I am hopeful that my intentions will just suddenly manifest….I am still pushing the river.

I am most familiar with Brian Swimme, and folks say that to hear him speak is life transforming. I have only recently heard the doom and gloom messages about 2012 – as it has always been held up to me as a time of divine and the end of war….peaceful and respectful

thank you for your comprehensive and good writing and I look forward to your reports from the upcoming event

  9. Lucky you! I can’t wait to read your review. When we have a chance to go to life changing events, we can’t pass them by.

The merging to science and spirituality sounds very interesting. I look forward to reading what you think of Gregg Braden. I’m off to check out his site right now.

  10. I don’t know much about this, so I’m looking forward to your review. power of intention is strong! Glad to hear it worked out for you. :-)

  11. Lisis says:

Ooooh! This is very exciting (I wish I could go!). I love all the 2012 stuff, just because I find it interesting in a cosmic sort of way… I’m not vested in one particular outcome for that event. Still, I really enjoy learning more about it, so I am greatly looking forward to reading about what you learn from these guys.

  12. Kaushik says:

I look forward to your report. I’m sure it will be very interesting. I don’t think the 2012 stuff is interesting, but the entire movement of beliefs and opinions is rather telling. Thanks!

  13. Keith says:

    Hello Evita!

I am so happy about this article. I just hate how the some parts of the media are always trying to instill fear and dread into everyone. Thank you for your explanation of this 2012 thing. I look forward to what you bring back from this conference. I recently became aware of Bruce Lipton and Greg Braden and have begun reading their stuff.

    Thanks!

  14. Evita!
How cool it is to read a post about three people I have recently become acquainted with myself. I only wish I had seen this before as I could have made it to Boston!!! Instead I look forward to hearing its inspiration through you and am so excited to see you featuring such dynamic thinkers.

I love your site and think it is a great resource.
    Katie

First off – thank you all so, so much for all your wonderful comments! I had a chance to take a peak at some of them while on vacation and it warmed my heart greatly :)

@ BERNIE - I had a chance to read your comment Bernie before I left and boy did you get me excited about seeing and getting to know Alberto Villoldo. Well he was awesome and more to come about him in my write-up about what was said at the Choice Point 2012.

    @ MEGAN
    – Yes, you are so right Megan – it will mean good things, many, many good things for the planet and the people on this planet Earth. But you are also right about the changes possibly being rough – see this is where the idea of “relativity” and “perspective” comes in. Even though the same event may be happening, two different people may and most likely will experience it totally differently.

    @ LANCE
    – Thank you so much Lance for those warm wishes and thoughts. And you are right, I really resonate with the work of these beings and they really bring out a lot from within me that allows me to not only “remember” more about “me” – but also have the pleasure to pass it along, teach, and help others.

    @ TESS
    – Your comment really meant so much to me, especially when I read the vision you saw of me. Tess, it would be an honor and yes, please do hold that vision.

Just as I feel called to write, I also feel called to speak. I don’t want to sell anything except help people in any way possible during the changes on the Earth right now – I really know why I am here in this life time. Thank you dearly Tess.

    @ JEANNE
    – Thank you Jeanne and LOL – I like how you put it about the movie. Well…I guess one cannot be surprised seeing as where it is coming from and that it will be on the big screen for the masses as we know what sells there….drama.

There are a lot of pain bodies out there who need to feed off of that drama, and this is where I applaud the work of these three men for bringing some balance into the world with the work they do that surrounds this topic.

    @ PAUL
    – Thank you Paul for your comment and you bring out a good point. I guess that is what Gregg’s idea is all about when he talks about fractals and how bigger patterns in our world resemble smaller, and the smaller the bigger.

I am not sure entirely how I feel about this yet. I mean to me it seems to makes sense what he talks about, because as a biologist I see the patterns in nature all over the place, and how they resemble each other and give us clues about our world. But are all patterns indicative and precise? Probably not, so there is definitely more speculation and discussion that can go on here. But like you I am happy to see science and spirituality merging.

@ NADIA – Yes indeed Nadia, it is just as much a beginning as it is an end. But of course our society chooses to focus on the ending part of it, not the beginning. Well, here we are going to focus on the beginning – for it will be the beginning of a Golden Age for humanity, and I am so excited about what is to come :)

    @ PATRICIA
    – The best thing and the most important thing that any of us can do right now is hold beautiful feelings and images in our minds – so hold those wonderful thoughts you have about the peace and the beautiful transformations that will come. Do not let mainstream media taint that for you, because as the speakers/scientists say – our mind set will be the biggest determining factor of what is to come and how it will play out.

@ KARL - Hi Karl and thank you very much. I love these types of events. I have to tell you the energy in the room is amazing and the energy I leave with is like someone recharged my batteries with a super fuel to go out into the world and help more people, and that feels awesome!

    @ STACEY
    – Thanks Stacey, yes I think this will be an amazingly ongoing lesson for me at least, about how strong the power of intention really is. And I know enough today that it is the feelings that we put into it, that produce the best results. I look forward to sharing with you what I learned here.

    @ LISIS
    – That is awesome Lisis! That is so how I feel… well the only outcome I would love to see is a more peaceful and unified world, but I believe that will come, if not now, when the time is right.

So yeah, I love this stuff, and find it so fascinating too. After all, the change we are about to see only happens once every 26,000 years, so really something awesome to just live through!

@ KAUSHIK – That is very honest of you to share Kaushik and I so value your thoughts. Indeed, it does bring out a lot of theories and opinions and that alone is a whole platform for various growth on our planet and change of course.

@ KEITH - Thanks Keith and I have a feeling you will really enjoy the work of Bruce and Gregg – they share some pretty amazing things that they have found throughout their lives work, and offer so much hope and empowerment for all humans alike, I find.

As for the media, yeah, they still do what they do best, invoke reactions of fear from people. Well it is so awesome to see more people seeing right through that and not buying into it. That is part of the change itself.

@ KATIE - That is great to hear Katie, they are 3 awesome teachers. That would have been awesome indeed if you had a chance to come. I do look forward to sharing all that I can with you about the event.

Thank you for the compliment on the site too – much appreciated!
