This past week, I was given the opportunity to experience something quite profound.
It was an incredible experience, and I want to share my thoughts on it here today with all of you, as I know that there are many people out there who do not know about what I am about to tell you, and could greatly benefit from it.
The experience that I am talking about is known as reconnective healing.
It is an alternative healing modality that is based on energy work and is done with the help of a reconnective healing practitioner. This practitioner was, fellow writer and also someone I am grateful to call friend - Jennifer Mannion.
Jenny was suffering from chronic pain and health problems for years, until she healed herself, got off all medication and today lives a happy, fulfilled, pain-free life. Along her journey she has become a certified reconnective healing practitioner, and today is helping to heal many others, both physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
What Is Reconnective Healing?
According to Jenny’s site, reconnective healing is:
“… a form of healing that reconnects us to our original blueprint. It corrects “mis-information” in the energy fields around the body.”
It can be used for physical imbalances that are manifesting as diseases, and has been known to heal even diseases like cancer and MS. It can also be used for bringing back to balance any mental, emotional or spiritual imbalances. Or it can just be used as a regenerative treatment for overall well-being.
For myself, I am not suffering from any physical ailments, and was interested in this healing more to balance out any blocked energies that I may not be aware of, raise my vibration and re-align myself to a better connection overall.
This type of healing can be done on location or as distance healing. Jenny is located in upstate New York, where as I am in southern Ontario. That is perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of this healing modality is that it knows no boundaries, and only reaffirms concepts that movies like “What the bleep do we know?” and “The Living Matrix” explain.
For the session the client need not do anything, but be in a comfortable place, and position with no distractions. In terms of mind set, one only needs to be in a state of receiving and noticing. Thus, open to receiving any energies, or healing that are coming through, and noticing of any feelings, thoughts, emotions, images, etc.
My Reconnective Healing Experience
I am open, very open in fact these days to many alternative healing modalities, as well as pretty much anything dealing with metaphysical topics. However, if someone told me what was going to happen to me in my very own reconnective healing session, I would have had a hard time believing them. I would have wanted to believe them…but …
See the thing is, the more I read, and learn, and expand my consciousness, the more I feel that nothing is impossible – and anything is possible. I no longer use phrases like “I don’t believe in that” – because I know that everything that exists, exists based on our thoughts and beliefs. So believing in something, is just as powerful as not believing in something. However, having said all that, it does not mean that I have worked through all past conditioning yet. I mean let’s face it, most of us have been brought up in homes where we learned that reality is based upon our physical world. Drugs heal people. And anything unseen is just a bunch of “woo-woo” stuff.
So when I approach things like hypnosis, past life regression, or even meditative channeling, even though theoretically I know it exists, and works, and is possible – experientially, I feel a blockage – probably because I have not yet experienced those things myself yet. I feel that somehow I am not sure if it will “work” on me, or for me.
But see this is a great lesson for all of us I think – just because we have not experienced something, doesn’t mean it does not work or exist. Please keep that in mind as you read about my experience.
Okay so anyway, let me get to sharing my experience with you.
To begin the reconnective healing, Jenny called me a few minutes before our scheduled time to make sure we were both going to start at the same time, to let me know roughly what I could expect and to see if I had any questions.
You know what my main question was…if she always has results with people. Yes, there was a part of me that was hoping I would feel something, but feeling a little anxious within, like what if I don’t feel anything? It was both a positive and negative thing to me, that Jenny said that she only had one “iffy” client, and even they felt something. So while that gave me confidence that I was probably going to feel something, I still wondered if I was going to be the first one to break her record.
I hung up with Jenny, laid down on my bed, closed my eyes and set my intentions. I didn’t even finish setting my intentions when I felt my eyes go crazy. Forgive my words, but the English language is so limited. Perhaps it was rapid eye movement, but what it felt like to me was that my eyes were rolling around from side to side, and all around like crazy! It was something that I could never do voluntarily, no matter how hard I tried.
During reconnective healing, you are completely aware of what is happening, so there is no fear that you don’t have control of what is happening to you. If you don’t like or feel comfortable with anything that you experience, you can always choose to stop the session. But I doubt you would want to do that, because the energy that floods your body is in one sense of the word – delicious!
At this point, I felt a huge surge of energy flow through my body, so much so that it felt as if it wanted to push out any pain I may have been holding onto in the subconscious of my mind. I felt a strong urge to cry, and exhale deeply. I felt like I was exhaling out any pain and impurities left over from years of holding stuff in. Tears began streaming down my face uncontrollably, and I really thought I was going to full out right have one serious crying session.
I did not fight or block anything that wanted to move through me. I continued to lay there with my eyes closed, as this energy surged through my body.
All of a sudden my body stilled. Part of me was relieved for the break, while another part was a little sad. I wanted to feel more of that delicious energy.
Jenny instructed me at the beginning as I mentioned, to stay open and in a state of receiving and noticing. Well in this somewhat, what felt like a short break, I started to feel the tops of the palms of my hands and tops of my feet growing colder and colder (I had socks on if you are wondering, so it had nothing to do with the room temperature.) And then the energy crept upon me again and what a rush, and what a ride this was!
All at once my body began to twitch in various places uncontrollably – I am sure if someone were watching me, I would have looked like a fish out of the water. My hands, arms, head, legs or even torso would move in various abrupt, and totally unplanned ways.
My lips and mouth got a strange sensation as if a small current of electricity was flowing through it. My upper lip began to vibrate immensely. The inside of my mouth had an energy frequency moving through it. My breathing was deep at some points and very shallow at others. On my thighs and knees there was an intense pressure, that if I wanted to lift my legs, there was no way it was going to happen – it was as if someone was sitting on them. But please note, none of this was painful or uncomfortable. Based on what I am describing it may sound odd, but it felt amazing!
The only thing I wondered was if I was going to be able to handle this energy for the whole 30-40 minutes that this session was going to last. I wanted to, but wow, this was something so powerful and so beyond me!
So as my body involuntarily responded to the surges of energy, at this point not only was my mouth and lips vibrating, but so were my arms and hands. What I felt right through my arms, hands, palms and fingers was the greatest tingling I could have ever imagined. In fact, if you ever had that “pins & needles” effect – it was like that, but pleasant and multiplied in strength, by an enormous factor.
As I mentioned I was aware of all this, I remember having several thoughts….one was “wow I can’t believe this is happening” (poor choice of words… I know, I know), another thought was feelings of pure ecstasy as this loving energy washed through and surged through my body. And I tried to connect with my guides to allow for any healing needed, and any messages to be transmitted.
Anyway, as my body vibrated and twitched, and surged with this extreme flow of energy, slowly the force receded and part by part my body stilled. My hands, especially my palms still felt like they were holding an ample amount of energy. I was getting another break I felt.
A few times I saw a dark blue light in my mind’s eye. And at one point, I felt as if someone passed through me to my left. The energy of this being was so pleasant.
And then Jenny called. I answered and I was in complete shock and disbelief. Why was she calling so early? I glanced at the time – 40 minutes had gone by and to me the whole experience felt like not a second more than 5 minutes!!! It was incredible!
As I came about and looked around the room, I felt so, so good! The peace that had washed over me, was like nothing I had ever experienced. The flood and surge of energy that this experience introduced me to and passed through my body was incredible!!!
If you decide to do this experience, I cannot promise you that it will be just like mine, as everyone has of course their own unique experience. But what I am pretty sure of is how much you are going to enjoy it.
If I ever had a doubt of a higher energy, and that we are energy beings (which I don’t these days), this knocked any remaining ideas out. I believe it greatly helped me to re-condition my mind even more, and see myself and this reality in an even more open and fresh way.
I now know and completely understand why this healing modality is able to cure people of every disease, no matter how big, including cancer (if of course the participant is open to the healing, and given the right amount of sessions). With this amount and type of energy, you walk away from this experience like a new being. For the rest of the day I walked around like I was floating.
Jenny said to ground myself after, but I loved this feeling of feeling so light. I figured the grounding would come naturally. (Sorry Jenny…it just felt so good! ;) I have no doubt that this experience will have many lasting effects on me to come.
On her end, she told me she felt great too and had a couple nice messages to me from my guides, which were some things that I was suspecting within, but exactly what I needed to hear.
Conclusion
Anyhow, do I recommend this experience – oh my goodness, do I ever! I am getting my husband a session with Jenny next. This was the most intense and incredible experience I have to say I have had in my life to date, where energy modalities and metaphysical topics are concerned. Let’s just say that now I know exactly what some of the people like Esther Hicks mean when they say that their body starts to “vibrate” before they would channel, etc.
So ultimately if you have any physical ailments, especially chronic, if you feel an imbalance mentally, emotionally or spiritually, – or if you just want to experience a sense of renewal and rejuvenation like no other, I would greatly recommend giving reconnective healing a try. Sometimes even the happiest of us, may have no idea what we may have suppressed over the years, that upon coming out can set us free and living in a lighter and more peace-filled way.

Thank you SO MUCH for such a detailed review of your session. It is SO greatly appreciated. As I have mentioned to you – this work has indeed changed my life, my concept of WHAT is possible and truly confirmed how connected we all are. It was BEAUTIFUL to have a session with you and I am so happy you are so open and had such an amazing experience.
As you said, no one has the same experience and each session with the same person is different as well. Healings can occur on any and all levels – spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and any other way you can imagine! ;-) I’ve had clients receive “book titles”, clarity on projects they were working on and just about everything else from “miraculous physical healings” to feeling more relaxed than they ever remember and anxiety attacks gone… there ARE no limits. I always say it “turns up the volume on our OWN intuition” putting us more in contact with our inner self.. our soul and making it much easier to access.
I am thrilled I got to share this with you Evita and look forward to Marcus’s session as well. Thank you so very much for not only being open to it but for your very generous detailed review. I am deeply touched and cannot even begin to tell you what your friendship means! I do feel I met a kindred soul. :-)

I think that this experience that Jenny walked you through is true to what I have come to believe in just how much energy our bodies house. We ARE energy. And that’s something that has really come to the forefront of my thought recently. Evita, I think that this experience you have been through is such an incredible one – incredible in that you experienced this. And I know, this was something that you were “in the moment” with. I know just by reading your words, how deeply connecting it was. And how awesome that you were able to do this with Jenny.

Sounds like a beautiful experience. You should have taped yourself. It would have been cool to see the reactions that you experienced.
There are so much untapped potential within us. When we take the time to let it out like you did with Jenny the experience is amazing.
I’m a big fan of Reiki. I was introduced by some friends to this practice a few years ago. I haven’t done it in a while, but this post is making me curious to see if there is a group here in Austin.

What a wonderful experience! I think it is wonderful that Jenny was able to heal herself and leads a pain free life. More importantly, I think it is awesome that she is using those skills to help others. You go, Jenny!
I truly believe that so many ailments are a result of emotions and stress. We are truly just beings of energy and we simply radiate whatever it is that we think or feel. People make fun of the whole concept of vibes but it is a truth. We are all like little radios. Many of us are just not aware of the signals we are sending.
I also agree with how words can be so limiting. I often tell people it is hard at times to find the right words to describe a feeling or thought. Your experience sound really profound. I am now curious to try such a session with Jenny sometime next year.

I am posting about my healing experience with Jenny tomorrow the 11th, because it was amazing too and I am now pain free! My experience was not as intense as Evita’s but my eyes were moving a bit and I could feel the tingling sensations in my knee, chest and hugely in my hands…and the feeling of peace stayed with me most of the day – but my cold walk an hour later proved to be too much grounding….The guides revealed were startling to me and I have not made friends with one yet….and her words were reassuring. I would highly recommend this opportunity to everyone.
I love the freedom from the pain – working still on the stiffness and my blood pressure righted itself …wonder full experience.

I’ve seen the most amazing things happen, instantaneously, as a result of things I’ve thought. I’m so interested in Jenny’s practice. Several years ago, I was fortunate to have a similar experience, although not by long distance. It is as you say. It was one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had. If we all truly understood just what powerful beings we truly are, I think we could all perform these healings on ourselves. Until then, thank goodness for Jenny! :)

What is out there to experience for us is just amazing, it is like walt disney for real!

I see the rapid eye movement as being linked to the third eye or pineal gland being activated. The dark colour blue is an indication that this chakra was opened by the energy work being performed shamanicly through the fourth dimension. The clearing of the energy blocks rocketed you into a fifth dimensional realm. Evita, you know what it is like to feel free and liberated. From this higher platform, one’s dreams come true.
Well this is certainly powerful. And Bern’s thoughts about it are amazing! Evita your freedom makes me want to sign up.

@Lance – this work magnifies my feelings of love and that is the overwhelming emotion I have as a practitioner when in session or whenever I access the frequencies for myself (very helpful in meditation and self healing). Thank you as always for your very kind words. :-)
@Karl – I always say if the modality resonates — pursue it. I head a “Body Mind Spirit Collective” (over 60 local practitioners belong). We meet monthly and it is a wonderful way to be exposed to other modalities. MANY are Reiki practitioners and I have certainly seen “miraculous healings” through this modality as well…. I hope you do pursue it again — we are ALL healers and connecting with what really moves us and makes that circle of healing reach even more people.
@Akemi – I also “had that feeling” Evita might pursue this further. ;-) For people like me who had a “harder” time FEELING energy that some other modalities work with – this one was un-deniable…. EVERYONE at our seminar felt it pretty much the first 5 minutes of class. Then we had 2 wonderfully filled days to practice. :-) I am so happy you got the work done too Akemi. It is amazing. It was a joy to share it with Evita – another big love of this work comes from the fact that I can share it worldwide. xoxo
@Nadia Of course I would welcome a session with you. I totally agree — we ARE energy. When we have stress, negative thoughts, etc. we mix up these frequencies and the energy does not flow properly. Reconnective healing returns us to that natural state we began in – where energy flowed effortlessly and we were in coherence. It is SUCH beautiful work. :-) It is hard to explain and every experience is so different — I am so grateful Evita did such a wonderful job of explaining. @Julie We are all healers…. no doubt in my mind. Just as a little cut will heal because we don’t think about it… I truly believe we could heal almost everything else if we had that same confidence in ourselves and our body’s ability to heal. There are so many amazing modalities out there – this one has touched me the deepest after 3 years of studying and it is a great joy in my life to share this with the world. It is so lovely to me that no matter if my client is in front of me or across the world – it makes no difference in the experience. Thanks so much for your comments. :-)
@Wilma Evita did do an awesome job, didn’t she? It took me a month after the seminar to write about the experience and even then I felt I hadn’t done it justice. :-) It is SUCH an amazing experience and you want to know the CRAZIEST thing about it all? I began to feel the frequencies by reading Eric Pearl’s book… it blew me away a book could do that and I was hooked which led me to getting sessions myself, “The reconnection” and becoming licensed. These “miracles” never cease to amaze me and I am so very grateful to be spreading this work. :-) Thanks for commenting.
@Bern I just traded a session with a Shaman friend of mine and he said as well there was a lot of third eye/pineal gland stuff going on. Many people do experience lights and colors… Mostly blues and purples. He also reported the next day after his session (I did distance session) his neighbor asked, “What was going on at your house last night between 7-7:30 – your house was surrounded by a silver light and there was gold coming from that window” (as he pointed to the room where John was lying down). Of course that was the exact time of our session. Pretty amazing and even though I have been doing this over a year – I still am blown away by each and every session. Thanks for your wise insights Bern. :-)

It sounds like a powerful experience and your description is so compelling and beautiful! It’s wonderful that Jenny has been able to heal herself and is helping others.
Most of what bothers us, physically and emotionally, is a result of stuck patterns and thoughts and emotions. And so, healing our inner experience can heal us physically as well. I would not have easily believed this a few years ago; but with my own experience of letting go of anxiety and depression, I am completely open to the efficacy of these practices.
Ah, words are just labels and so very limiting. And yet, you’ve done a remarkable job of conveying the experience.

@Kausik – You have an AMAZING website – I am so happy you healed yourself of depression. You are so right — we get stuck in old patterns and thoughts and that leaves us feeling “this is how life is”. We can change our life at the very second we realize we can change our life. For people who have a hard time doing some of that “work” – reconnective healing is a good option because it can change some of that in an instant. People suddenly feel reconnected to the Universe and their own intuition so don’t feel “stuck” or “alone” anymore. Physical ailments can disappear in an instant so some can finally believe they ARE healthy and live from that. It is beautiful work but bottom line is we all are healers and are so very powerful. Words are limiting and Evita did do SUCH an awesome job at sharing her experience – I am very grateful. Wonderful to meet you. :-)

I have yet to read Eric Pearl’s book, but from what I hear it can be pretty life transforming. And with you being a healer yourself, I am sure there are many aspects of it and this type of work that you know very well. Although I know most of this theoretically, I am just starting to experience it on a practical level.
