I was sent today a link to a fantastic new resource and hence wanted to share it with you here right away! If you enjoy the topics and articles you find here on Evolving Beings, then you will most probably also enjoy the fantastic content that the DharmaCafé offers.
It is amazing, as always that the right things always come at the right time to us – nothing of course being a mere coincidence. And so I am thrilled with being introduced to this new resource today as I know it will prove valuable for myself as well as many of you – our readers!
The DharmaCafé offers lived and in-depth content on spiritual consciousness in religion, philosophy, history, culture, science, the arts, politics, animals, and the environment.
In terms of content, if you are a growth seeking individual there is something there for everyone.
I was instantly drawn in by the purpose of the DharmaCafé, which William Stranger, the editor, states as follows:
Our purpose is to bring together a community of open-hearted, open-minded, and truly serious students, scholars, and practitioners interested and active in every kind of sacred endeavor. We intend to offer critical essays, articles, and reviews that inform, uplift, and, yes, enlighten us all.
The DharmaCafe explores many of the issues that plague human kind today. We can no longer hide behind the comfortable “status quo” and refuse to allow change to seep through and into our life, as that only leads to unhappiness of the human spirit. We know today more than ever that what has always been, for the most part, is no longer working today. As William Stranger says:
Neither conventional materialist science nor the religions of willful belief can truly address our personal predicament of mortality because neither is honestly in touch with That Which transcends biological death.
Finally, what I was most moved and inspired by, were some of the tenets of the DharmaCafé, which state:
DharmaCafé is here to gather and empower the “cultural creatives” who are reaching beyond their inherited ethnic, religious, political, and cultural loyalties toward a means of understanding and engaging all of life in the light of spiritual truth.
DharmaCafé is here to satisfy our thirst for the profundity of actual spiritual practice and the depths of lived experience rather than the surfaces of doctrines and the superficiality of egocentric personalities.
DharmaCafé is here to chronicle humanity’s efforts to embark upon the next stage of its cultural and spiritual evolution.
DharmaCafé is here to reveal Dharma, the way in which the sacred is lived in all of life and culture.
So check out the DharmaCafé and read, learn and live in the light of spiritual awareness and enlightenment that is sweeping across our planet today.
