@ LAWS of ATTRACTION - You are so welcome and I am glad you enjoyed my take on this subject.

Yes, I agree those moments where the current reality is not the one we desire can be most difficult, but having read various authors' opinions on this and looking at my own life, I have realized this and offer it as my advice: there is always something to be grateful for.

Focusing on the tiniest of things that we are grateful for starts to pull us out of the "reality" we are in and starts to push us into a new one. We just have to stick with it of course, and this is perhaps the tricky part.

Say I just lost my job and on top of that, my relationship with my spouse is really difficult. I will get nowhere and very fast, if I keep focusing on these aspects. But what about the house I live in, perhaps I can be grateful for that, or what about the parents I have, or the friends, or the sports I enjoy on a regular basis.... Sticking to and focusing on things that make us feel good, very quickly start to vibrate our energy at a new level. At this level most often we start to see things in a new light and are very much able to approach "problems" with a fresh and new outlook to see that in fact they are our calls to action, to be more, to learn more, etc.

I also suggest focusing on nature, there is always so much beauty there. If one is stuck, alone and depressed, go for a walk - start to look around - touch your environment. I find that can be very transformative.

Another suggestion is that we can always look at those who are much worse off than us (whatever we consider worse off to be), whether it be in our community or the world. Think about how you would be if you had their life, what if you were in their shoes...usually snaps us back into personal gratitude quite quickly too.

Hope that gives you some ideas - thanks for stopping by :)

Thanks for your article, I really like the way you speak about problems being an opportunity for growth.

I think one of the biggest challenges is being able to be grateful when we really are in the midst of deep problems, especially when the current reality is not the one we truly desire.

What do you suggest we do in these situations? do you have any techniques that you have found effective?

Thanks so much

Thanks for this informative blog about personal development. I wanted to share information about my new movie called The Compass. http://www.thecompass.tv

The Compass

Life is meant to be lived in abundance. We all want to experience life at the highest levels. Over the years, we have been taught the importance of vision and clear thought. However, those who have truly attained success in all aspects of life know there is more that needs to be done to reach the top, and live a life of fulfillment and gratitude. Without knowing the optimal path, life tends to meander like a stream. A stream will take you down the mountain, but it will never carry you to the top.

Never before in history has there been a film that has told the story of the journey through life coupled with the world’s leading authorities on personal success. As an added bonus, the viewer will be treated to four dynamic individuals who will inspire, motivate and make you think at a deep level when you learn of their incredible life stories.

The Compass will move you!

Ah yes Liara - whatever you resist, persists! Absolutely true.

It has been I admit, probably my personal biggest challenge to view "negative" people as a great and positive learning opportunity for me. First, of course not to get sucked into their energy as you say and secondly to see them for the gift that they are in my life.

The beauty of polarity is that it shows us who and what we want to be - so now as odd as this may sound to some, I offer these people gratitude for shaping who I am and actually pushing me to become the highest version of who I can be.

I know some people whose instinct it is to complain. This is a test for anyone around them not to evolve to have their energy drained and not to evolve to think on that wavelength.

For me, negative people offer lessons in resistence and are also an invitation to express love. You may have heard that when you resist something, it will persist. This applies when you are invited to learn a lesson you have not yet digested.
